Havana Club Blanco

Great mixer for drinks with a stronger flavour as the rum flavoring is stronger. Also good for cooking and deserts.

leave bacardi, havana, morgan at same starting range, dont be a victim of advertisment, for 20$ bottle get legendario or diplomatico anejo instead.

Nose: Quite harsh. This is not much of a factor though because you're not going to be sipping this.
Feel: Very oily.
Taste: A little bitter then getting sweeter towards the end. Little aftertaste.
Presentation: Very recognizable bottle. Nothing special.
Price: 38 CAD for a 1.14L bottle. Too much for what it is.

I normally pass this one over and go for a cleaner tasting DR rum like a Brugal or the 3-year Havana Club, which I had yet to review but is a much more interesting rum especially in Mojito.

When I need a lot of white rum and the taste is going to be masked by something sweet anyway I can use something cheaper like Captain Morgan White.

So this rum is really in the middle in terms of quality and as such it isn't good enough at anything to get used much.

This is purely for cocktails. Better have Anejo 3.

This rum's flavor contains fruit, citrus, flower notes and vanilla. Superb mixer.

A slightly better alternative to Bacardi white rum but still lacks and significant features as do most white rums.

It`s a mixing rum and has some flavs to it but it too can make a good daiquiri. It´s one of those old shelf rums...it`s always there even if not always used.
