Havana Club Anejo Especial

This rom is really good for mixers or cakes.The aftertaste is to alkoholic for a sipping rum, I think.

Just a got a bottle of this one from my relatives in Cuba. Not a sipper in my books any longer. Much lower quality that the HC7. Fine for mixing especially if the bottle was purchased at local prices within the island. Currently does not sell in Ontario, Canada but Ontarians are not missing much by not being able to try this one.

Decent rum for mixing with cola. Might want to use the Reserva/7yr instead for yourself and your better friends.

...but compared to the other cheap rum I've tasted (Saint James Royal Ambré), this one is definitely better. Not a great rum but at that price, there's no miracle...

good rum to drink with a coke cuba libre as they call it

Sweet but not so much as to take away the nice finish to the sip. Good mixer yes there are better one's out there but this one won't kill the part either. Enjoyed it with a Diet Coke.

to much alcohol taste to drink by itself, but with cola it is a great choice.

This rum has a nice vanilla aftertaste. Nothing amazing but great with some lime juice or with coke...

Mixed with coke it is okay.Save your money and buy something else as it will do a better job.

You could let this pass you buy and you will not e missing much

My cousin visited Cuba and returned with this version of Havana Club. Upon first taste, I get the essence of tobacco flavoring. Not as complex as other rums. I usually drink rum straight up, and while this is enjoyable, I would be interested in trying other aged Havana Clubs in the future.
