good rum to drink with a coke cuba libre as they call it
PIcked this up at the Duty free as a bargain , a bit more flavour than Barcardi's Superior but only for mixing with cola or in cocktails , cheap enough.
Well, what to say. It's an average rum, in taste as in price.
I prefer it in a Cuba Libre or just with cola.
It's not really tasty to drink straigth or on the rocks.
A harsh, throat-scratching alcohol. It must have been great for real men, Pirates and other trend-setters back in XIX century. Not good enough for our delicate palates nowadays.
Really like this havana club 3 fpr mixed drinks. Not so much for cuba libre, but for mojito it is perfect!!
Have 2bottles of this
This is no rum for straight up drinks, but it has an acquired taste for the classic rum & coke.
'intense nose with accents of vanilla, caramelized pears'
"Havana Club 3-Year rum review by The Ultimate Rum Guide"
The nose is very sweet.
"When sipped the rum is fairly smooth but it doesn’t have an abundance of flavour. Its sweet but very short."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Nose:
Some older wood and some kind of rubbery
I haven't tried it straight to the bottle, however it is the always favorite choice for Cuban Mojitos.
