J’aime mieux les sucré que les épicés mais c’est quand même un bon rhum.
A little bit of a different take on Caribbean spiced rum. Nice caramel flavor with cinnamon as the dominant spice along with the usual nutmeg and vanilla. A bit stronger than usual at 50% alc/vol. Admittedly I'm not a big fan of spiced rums, but I don't mind the occasional glass of this mixed with cola.

Strangely Masochistic Taste 7 out of 10
COLOUR: Very dark; Dr. Pepper; dark maple syrup; dark brown with chestnut orange colouring; reddish tinge in the bottle; very inviting; very reminiscent of the colour of a Kavalan Solist Sherry cask I had ages ago.
NOSE: Soap; Bath & Body Works store; smoke; sweet tobacco (before burning); vanilla extract; Halloween candy; powdered sugar; no alcohol burn, despite 50% abv. Score 8/10
TASTE: Huge vanilla hit; super sweet and spicy; quite strong; very nice and interesting for the first 90% of the journey; the final 10% is straight gasoline. Score 6.5/10
FINISH: Long lasting; artificial vanilla; artificial sweetener; no gasoline; fairly unpleasant and fake-tasting. Score 7.5/10
OVERALL: Beautiful and interesting nose; strangely masochistic taste; decent finish with none of the disturbing taste elements; you can't drink too much of this; beautiful packaging. Weighted Score 7.1/10
IMAGERY: Drowning in a vat of vanilla extract.
