46% ABV. Amazing nose. Wood and raisins. Lighter palate. Characteristic PM. Shortish, dry finish, but it doesn't matter. An exceptional long-aged rum.

This one shows massive character, and is also sherrycask-finished. Not the typical Demerara, but certainly a fine one.

Enjoyed a bottle of Port Morant 25y 1990 Vintage Rum after I got back home from London. Old school bottle and label design. Surprisingly dry and woody. More whisky like than I was hoping for. Cherries don't really belong in this flavor profile. Strong burn at the end. Weird cigarette taste at the end.

Another great rum from Bristol Classic. Another rum I put a drop of water into to open up the taste. Lots going on here, dark fruits and as it says on the bottle aniseed, thanks for getting me to try more rums!!

Been really forward to getting a bottle of this, as it appears to be one of the best Port Mourants still available for a price that doesn't require you to sell your first born to the devil.
It is a very good rum, however in my head I imagined this rum would be so great it would completely blow me away. This it really didn't.
However I only tried two glasses of it spread out over the last couple of weeks, while still being a bit effected by the flue/a cold, so it might be that my taste buds are not 100% as they should be.
At the moment for me the aniseed is very overpowering, to the point it messes up the balance in the rum. Will try it again later once my flue is completely gone to see if it improofs.
Very pronounced a big hit of aniseed, some nice almost chocolate like notes,.
"It is smooth and surprisingly easy to drink โ yet it packs a lot of flavour. The sweetness remains in the finish along with the aniseed which is the last flavour to remain on the palate."
