Sweet on the nose. Pretty balanced without being overly sweet. It's nice but nothing special

Very interesting.
Was wondering how exclusiva would taste if only you could somehow remove the extra sweetness...
Now I know and I can confirm it's good.
Missing the complexity as well...
Overall decent.

It still has an intense alcohol flavour. Probably it needs some time to settle down a bit. But in this price range it is reasonable.

My favourite, together with Pampero Aniversario. Seems like venezuelan aged rums are my favourites. Santa Teresa I would use for paint removal, though.

Beautifully smooth rum, perfect for sipping over ice. (I keep mine in the freezer).

Almost as good as the reserve, but I like the reserva a little bit more

Sweet but not too much, strong alcohol sensation on the nose. Cheap.

Good and tasty rum, average aroma and taste.......
Itโs sweet with scents of brazil nuts and some butteryness like shortbread. .
"Overall it is a sweet rum. There is a little spice on the palate and a tiny slither of oak. The finish has a little coffee and a touch of caramel. It is smooth and very easy to drink."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The first thing I noticed about this rum was the beautiful nose. It really does smell better than most rums - rich and woody with the permeating wonder of really classical molasses. The taste did not disappoint. This is certainly better than the Reserva that it replaced, but not as sumptuous as the Reserva Exclusiva. Whether you prefer this one to the Exclusiva or not depends how you like your rum. This is certainly more classical. The Exclusiva is sweeter (added sugar), richer and more lushly rich. I'm not sure that makes the Exclusiva better for everyone. I'd say I'd prefer to drink this one more regularly and the Exclusiva on more special occasions or when I wanted to round off an evening. I'd describe them both as good sipping rums, but without doubt the Exclusiva has the edge there. You can tell the family connection, but they are rather different. Frankly, I want both in my cabinet.
