Diplomatico Mantuano

I got this one as a gift from my brother. The first time I tasted it was blind test (other one was Reserva) it smells better but the taste was like hit by a bat. Strong taste of alcohol and tail was so bad that I need to brush my teeth. But one day friend of mine told me to make Cuba Libre out of it. It was delicious!

Smells vaguely of orange and clove, and at first sip you get a little orange peel, but then mostly very burnt brown sugar.

I don't know that I'd buy it again, but it stands out as very different

Good for mixing with coke.. this one is not the rum you would enjoy without coke

Cheaper and better than the more popular Reserva. Less sweet, and approaching what a rum should be

Diplomatico Mantuano - oproti klasické reserve je drsnější.

Good to accompany with a grilled pork and cheese..

It's okeish rum, but there is a dozen of better rums in this price range

A little immature Rum.. Total difference to 12Y . Taste of vanilla, plums, wood.

Středně silná chuť zanechá hřejivý pocit na patře, vůně není příliš výrazná a závěr kratší

Pro mě nejméně kvalitní Diplomatico(kromě bílých)... je z něj dost cítit alkohol a je tam nějaká divná pachuť skoro jako u Don Papa. Rozhodně je lepší si připlatit za Reservu.
