Diplomatico Mantuano

Got this for my Bday and tried to mix with ginger tonic and vanilla, and apple juice. Made a special Christmas feeling. But it was good with ice cubes only. Had good dark tones but alcohol taste kicks in a little. After all I’ll recommend it.

If you are on a budget this is a great bottle. Still retains the main flavors of the bigger brother but it's a bit more consrvative and a bit younger. With that said I still recommend it.

Another great product from Diplomatico. This one seems to be a muted form of the Exclusiva, with a smoother finish. I think this would be a good contender for an entry level sipper… cheers!

Civilised rum. A little strong on the nose, reedy. On the taste you can smell caramel, maybe a little coffee. Finish pleasant, though not surprising.

I wish this rum was called Manitou, because I really like Manitou Springs CO and I really like this rum.
(three doodled hearts in my passport) SO DELICIOUS. This is a quintessential rum.

There are better options for the price you pay atleast in my country. Nothing special to write home about. Just buy the reserva exclusiva

Illatában dominanciát nem érzek gyümölcsből, de egy kicsit vaníliát érzek fűszerekből. Ízében enyhén vaníliát éreztem, de túl nyers és száraz, a hordós íze elviszi az egészet, lecsengése rövid/közepes. 1x kóstoltam, engem nem győzött meg, de adok neki még egy esélyt.

I don't smell dominance from fruit, but I can smell a little vanilla from spices. I felt a little vanilla in the taste, but it is too raw and dry, the taste of the barrel takes away everything, the finish is short/medium. I tasted it once, it didn't convince me, but I'll give it another chance.

Mix with Coke and you'll be fine, don't even try it neat or you'll age 15years in a day and start talking like your drunk, angry father.

Poctivý rum na pití ne popíjení. Na takové to z/hulákaní.

It has a very nice, almost perfect smooth round taste, but I feel something in it I would leave out. I can't identify what it is. It isn't the flavour of some fruit. It doesn't have a direction of taste I could recognise, but still, it is not a perfect round, neutral rum, because there is something in it I don't like. Also it is somewhat too sweet for me. I wouldn't have the slightest objection against this rum normally, but I am tasting it against my 8 and 9 point rums, and it is only a 7. For my taste. I was expecting something better in a bottle of such gorgeous design. I just checked its price and it is properly priced. It's a 7.
