God rum med mycket smak.inte speciellt sรถt och vรคldigt lite spritsmak.
Made from molasses from what I understand. Accordingly, tastes a little more complex and deeper than most of the rums I've had so far. Still pretty smooth and very good. Better than a lot of the ones I've had so far.
Enjoyable to sip, this is a very mild rum, well rested. I didn't get anything extraordinary out of it, just nice and relaxing.
The first things that struck me was the colour, which is dark mahogany. There is little on the nose compared to most rums. I got a hint of pepper and very faint molasses.
On the tongue, I found it a little disappointing. It's not a bad rum for sure - better than average, actually - but given some of what I have read and that this is their best regular rum, I was expecting more. On the tongue, I did not find much complexity. I got mainly wood and the a stronger alcoholic warmth than usual. There is a little tobacco in there too. It's quite dry, but also very warm. - which I found was the main aftertaste.
i really like this, but again another rum i wish had been sweetened less and presented at 90 proof. lovely treacle, caramel, and brown butter notes in nose and taste. really want this to be better, so much potential. for the price you can do a lot better. if they could fix the price or the proof, i could see this as a 9....
Pretty good rum. Not great, but very nice to chill with.
Much better than normal Black Seal. Very rich and complex.
It is a little expensive, but I think it is worth it.
However, it's not the best rum for me.
Was hoping for more, this is to spicy for a rhum, something added ?
Smells like barrels and belowdecks. Tastes mostly of heat and brown sugar.
The heat fades quickly, and it goes down a lot easier than I first expected. As the brown sugar fades, it ends up feeling a little thin and light.
A decent sipper, but in no way worth the price of the bottle. I really cannot recommend unless it cost about a third of what it does.
There are notes of sweet mixed fruit and a little bitter marmalade.
"Sipped the Family Reserve is initially very sweet. On the tongue, especially you get sweet caramel and a chocolate mouthful initially."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Fresh brew black tea with scent of think dark cacao liquer. Steamed banana leafs wrapped with fresh coconut flesh. Woody and jammy.
Woody, toasty with black tea tannin on palate. Sweetness of unripe banana with tart bite and dried fruits such as apricots follow with mild tobacco leafs.
Woody and herbicious finishing with dried raisins and pear. Pleasant and flavourful yet not too sweet.
