Bermuda | Dark | 40% ABV

The James Gosling family business first produced Gosling Black Seal rum in 1806, and it is now the oldest surviving business on the island of Burmuda.

Picked this one up in a mini just to try and was pleasantly surprised. Nose of brown sugar, flavors of maple and oak. Middle of the road mouthfeel. Not super complex or something I wouldn’t be willing to mix, but nice sweetness, which I like. Not vanilla, just sugar flavor.

Super good. I don't know much about rum, but I like it!

i was given this as a gift many years ago and have drank many bottles since. I like the strong taste with coke, however I remember drinking it straight one night.

This is a darn good value for money rum. It smells very unique from other rums. A definite molasses is there. Drinking it straight is ok. Not super knock your socks off complex. But it can be enjoyed straight. What is so darn good about this rum is it makes a great rum and coke. Like goodness gracious this puts kraken to shame. I'm not a big black rum drinker but this will definitely be my go to bottle and at 16$ a bottle the price cant be beat.

This is quite distingtive rum even in Black category. Deep flavour of molases with dark soily scents. It is quite serious and dry personality among rich black rums. Autumn liquore.

Spettacolare per chi non ama il Rum spiritoso con un sottofondo di liquirizia . Ottimo con i mix

Makes a good dark and stormy and all that, yeah. But the real treat is having this by itself.

I'm not a big fan of black, spiced rums but this one is very enjoyable. Think the flavour is too strong to drink it straight, but excellent with a bit of coke.

har kun smagt denne rom i en dark n stormy, som de så populært hedder, men der syntes jeg tilgengæld den gled ned uden problemer.

I heard they won the court case, making Gosling's the only way to make a genuine Dark n Stormy. Of course you can use other dark rums. Not only will it not be a real Dark n Stormy, it won't taste as good. Other dark rums work, just not as well, at least what a Dark n Stormy does for you. Another great thing about this rum is its price.

Nice color and was expecting a bit more based on that. Not much of a nose. Strong hint of coffee perhaps lingers. Tried in dark and stormy and most guests preferred other mixers.
