I am quickly learning that the fine folks at Plantation never disappoint!! Nose is like cherry cola on steroids, mellowed out by a bit of butterscotch. High octane aroma, but nothing particularly profound. Palate has plenty of molasses, and some dried fruit character too (we're talking real dried fruit, not your sugar-loaded craisins). Again, all there from the get go, very good, rather one-dimensional. But you know what? This rum OWNS that one dimension!! And besides, you probably won't be sipping your overproof rums, you'll be mixing them, so that bumps this rum up to top notch! Surprise, another winner from Plantation!

If you’re looking to up the abv of any drink, this is a great option. Burnt sugar, vanilla, and oak.

69%. Blend of rums from Jamaica , Guyana and my favourite Barbados. No added dosage so not too sweet. When i read that both Martin Cate and Jeff Berry were involved in the developing of this blend , i knew it was going to be good. Lovely mahogany colour and a nose of red fruits , toffee , coffee and a touch of orange zest. Sips very easily for an overproof , tastes of molasses , raisins , cinnamon and burnt brown sugar in the mouth with a nice spicy tingle.. then surprisingly absolutely no burn on the way down ?? Very easy to get carried away with your measures using this.. fantastic for cocktails and made the best rum n coke that i have ever tried.
Best of all , no hangover in the morning.. highly recommended 8.5

Ne pas boire seul même sur glace. Pour faire des drinks ou pour cuisiner seulement.

Interesting overproof rum. I found myself sipping it over ice. Blasting with brown sugar, toffee flavor and a hint of anise licorice flavor. It's a great blend and worth keeping around to give your drinks a kick.

Fein würzig und fruchtig, leicht bittere Vanille und Caramellnoten gut eingebunden im hohen Alkoholgehalt.

Nejlepší volba rumu do koly nebo jiného drinku. Kromě síly je tam stále cítit nějaké koření.

While you could use this as a sipper it wasn't created with that in mind because of the high ABV but also because of some of the big names of Tiki who had a hand in its creation. If you do have it as a sipper I would add some water to bring it down a bit. Anyway, this rum really shines through for making Zombies and other drinks.

Is a great replacement for Lemon Hart 151 even though the flavor isnt exactly the same. I've heard of people drinking it neat or on ice but that wouldnt be my preference. Lots of toffee notes though.
