Plantation Overproof O.F.T.D.

This seems specifically made for tiki, even consulting some of the historians of the era. The result is a smoother rum than the overproof percentage suggests, and with a variety of notes: coffee to start, then caramel, with that "hogo funk" taste you expect from Original Plantation. As the marketing suggests, this one of the few good rums suitable for an authentic old-school Zombie, but it's complex enough to try on its own.

Enjoyable rum with multiple hints of flavor. Strong but can be enjoyed on ice.

British style navy rum with old furniture polish and punch confectionery nose, high abv makes it inaccessible like all other overproof rums.

Duft af lidt frugt (hindbær) og lidt lakrids. Den høje alkohol river i næsen og også ved det første sip, hvis man kommer igennem checket finder man hindbær og melasse. Havde frygtet værre, da den egentlig skulle bruges til drinks. Prøvede i Dark'n'Stormy, men det fungerer den ikke til.

This stuff is fire! Just wet the tongue and the spirit dissolves instantly in your mouth! Has a Jamaican funk like the the 3 Star white rum but with more burn and flavor. Wow. Be careful with this one!

This rum is surprisingly smooth considering the ABV. It has a strong molasses taste with a finish of dried fruit and slight chocolate. Sipping it neat takes a few attempts to get used to the strength, but is definitely worth doing.

Benutze Ich zum mixen für Cocktails. Aber auch ein regulärer Cuba Libre kriegt damit den nötigen Charakter um gegen die süße Cola anzukommen.
Für ca. 20€ ein Top Produkt. Viel mehr würde Ich dafür aber nicht ausgeben.
