Tasted at Laka Lono on 8/8/21. Light gold color. Bananas and acetone aroma. Caramel and oakiness. Huge 110 proof burn. Upon adding 1 ice cube: an interesting peatiness with lots of sandalwood. Remains quite antiseptic. As close to Listerine as one gets in a rum.

I tasted quite a few Caroni rums and am always impressed when I come back to this one. Rich, balanced and definitely one of the best examples of Caroni. An absolute must to try!

Fantastic! incredibly flavorful with a great punch! pure rum and just perfect.

This molasse distilled rum has a good body. Nosing offers a wide aroma range of wood, burned tyres, tar together with a distinct presence of alcohol. However, this is checked by a higher degree of sweetness and fruitiness (orange) compared with the 12 or 15 year Caronis. The palate continues these note the nosing has already revealed. Finish is nice and extended and did stay for some minutes. Overall a nice heavy rum.
