Very nice smell but then you take the sip.....all down hill from there. lighter fluid? A conservative burn but doesn't cover the taste. damage is done so time to reach for the cola......not helpful and possibly makes things worse.

Duft: frugt/æble, fad, alkohol.
Smag: æble, røg/fad, peber, eftersmagen er behalig.
Point: 4 (der er for meget røg til min smag)

Something about the flavor of this was so unpalatable. I had a small sample and had to force myself to finish it. Absolutely avoid.

Základem je melasa z Jávy, do které se při kvašení přidává i fermentovaná lokální červená rýže. Na kotlíkových destilačních zařízeních prochází dvojnásobnou destilací. Poté zraje v dubových sudech 8 let a krátkou dobu by měl rum zrát i v sudech po koňaku.
Zrání probíhá v Holandsku v Amsterdamu.
Lahvování probíhá v Herman Jansen Distillery.
Aroma: Lehce zasmrádlé - med, travnatost, lehce sirnatost, svěží závan domácí pálenky a zatím vším příjemná ovocnost (výrazná jablka a broskve).
Chuť: Pálenková, travnatá, trpká a pepřová. Hezky hutná, živější.
Dozvuk: Zatuchlá travnatost, bylinky, silný závan pepře a kyselé ovoce, které po chvíli příjemně hořkne. Dlouhý.
Sladkost: 0/3
Celá lahev
Velmi zajímavý indonéský hybrid z melasy a rýže. Takový mix agricole a domácí pálenky. A mně tato kombinace velmi chutná.

I drink a lot of rum and I thought it was pretty decent, price may be a little bit off but overall it’s a very enjoyable, tasty rum. Enjoyed it neat nice mouth good finish..

Licorice on the nose, with burned sugar. Surprisingly good, and I was honestly surprised to see so many rate this so low.
Nice taste that keeps going, very good in my opinion. Give it a try!

No bad taste sensation on the palate, was evwn rather nice. Probably drank it in the right moment for this rum. Based on tasting a 2cl sample

First, I must admit I am not very experienced with arracks, so before I state “typical arrack” I must admit I would not know what I am comparing with.
Nose: Classic smell of aged molasses rum, with a touch more grass and herb, and a sweet smell you could be fooled into associating with spontaneous fermentation.
But on the palate it is very distinct, with subdued funk, and reveals the effect of the addition of rice in complex, pleasant notes of fresh yeast- a bit like boiling, red rice from Thailand but elegant and discrete.
The aftertaste is absolutely not bad for youngish rum. A clear 8, it feels easily like having the sophistication and wisdom of far older rums, yet the little rebellious je-me-sais-quoi from the rice component is certainly present.
