N- Incense stick, dusty spice jar that tickle the nasal. Deep, rich dark rock sugar, bordering with bitter-ish root-y herb oilment. Deep resinous comes thru, scents of oxidized olorosso sherry, earthy and soft decay notes. Stylish, unique and complex. (22/25)
P- Dark and thick warm stout, beautiful delivery of flavours from the cask, creamy rock sugar, robust spicy notes with lightly burnt caramelized raisins. Firm and solid. (22/25)
F- Long lasting, echoes of spiciness from the roof-hitting strength, resinous oak driven. Tobacco, smokes of light body cigar. Very dry and fiery, well dimensional, originality well kept, not the usual generic sweet and sour rum. (22/25)
Balanced:- Wee overly intense and stiff on oak. (21/25)
Weighted Rate:- 87pt

Nice mahogany color with licorice and brown sugar flavor. The alcool is present but very sweet. Dark wood with fruity notes, long finish. Very nice Diamond rum.
The Rum Nation Diamond 2005 Limited edition is a full bodied, rich rum coming from Guyana. It has been bottled in small batches, less than 500 bottles were available on the market. It shows a really nice and pronounced red copper color and is provided in a rum nation 'standard shape' bottle with a nice custom sticker. Beware that the nice glass cap is not always pratical when you have to open your precious bottle. The 11 years aging has provided some spicy and fruity notes to this divine liquid. Nice one but not so easy to grab due to the small number of available bottles.

Un rhum très costaud 6 out of 10
Rhum tres sur l’alcool. Des notes z fort prometteuses sur le bois, le caramel. En bouche, difficile à cerner tant l’alcool est présent.
