It is a little bit too strong for a 18 years one, nice in the nose but the alcohol taste is too big for me, not really smooth.

Reasonably complex, but disappointing for the money. The burn is long lasting and offputting for an 18 year variety. I enjoy the 5 and 12 almost as much. The former is not as complex, but fine overall and affordable. The later is actually preferred to the 18 as it went down smoother.

I tried this after having tried the 12 year and to be honest i prefer the 12 year over this. It's still a decent rum, but where the 12 year delivers a pleasant sweetness and taste, this seemed a bit bland. I was expecting more of an evolution in terms of taste and did not find it here.

I tried in Nicaragua all of Flor de Canas. If you want to compare 7, 12 and 18 YO you can see difference with colour and nose. But taste...that's for me surprise...sooo little difference even between 7 and 18?
I don't know what thet do wrong....but something goes wrong there. Noth worth to pay that price.

Too thin for it's age

Its good, despite being fairly hot. The alcohol burn is strong with this one. Mind you I am not an experienced taster. I like the flavors, however subtle. Woody, grassy, and maybe a hint of molasses on the after taste. I wanted to try after I read multiple reviews of people claiming it has a buttery note, but I did not find that sadly. I would rate higher if not for the burn. A nice sipper when I do not feel like pouring something more pricey. I think more ice, and a lime would suit this one quite nicely.

Very promising smell, sweet and dried fruits. Taste is disappointing, it lacks the promised sweetness and it dies off very fast

Not one I would get again but I did have little issue finishing this bad boy. Not worth the money

Le 18 comme le 12 ans d'âge sont de bons représentants des rons, mais ne se démarquent pas. Ils manquent de caractère et de longueur !
