Subtle, a perfect example of the style, and has no equal for cocktails.

Beachbum Barry is right (again).

No less a luminary than Beachbum Berry has said that Ed Hamilton's Guyana 86 proof is "One of only 6 rums that a Tiki enthusiast will ever need." It is indeed fantastic. Reminds me a bit of Gosling's combined with a very funky Jamaican influence: lots of burned chocolate, smoky caramel, and dried fruit. No added sugar or other sweeteners. Compare this with El Dorado 12 and 15, both also from Guyana but heavily sugared and flavored. I like this rum straight up because it's so flavorful and complex and dry. Looking forward to trying it in cocktails in the near future. It's hard to find but if you do, snap it up!

Plenty of burnt brown sugar with a hint of something earthy or almost maraschino liquor-like. Really lovely.

Good aroma . Fantastic Taste Everything that I want in a black blended rum. Highly recommended.

This is one of my favorite rums. I agree with Beachbum Berry's recommendation of this one. It is a bit sweet in flavour, but not too sweet. I have had this neat, on ice, and mixed. Never disappoints. I do use this in a nightcap with 151 Demerara and a little Creole Shrub. I always have a bottle of this in my cabinet.

This rum sold me on Ed Hamilton. Rich and complex, it is great for sipping or mixing. Mild notes of smoke, toffee and tobacco... it’s worth coming back to again and again.

I've only tried Pusser's as far as Demerara rum goes to this point. This has wonderful dry brown sugar notes. Demerara and oak notes meld with vanilla and spice on the back end. The finish is nice, long, and delightful.

This is a very rich, Carmel, oaky, sweet rum that’s the pinnacle of simple demerara rums. Well balanced and not over oaked like many

This was a nice surprise. I am a huge fan of Guyanese rum and this didn’t disappoint!

This rum was delicious! Very different from the other rums they have made in that it did not slap you upside your face. Started out very nice with a wonderful finish. Very easy to drink and left us wanting more.
