La Mauny Le Nouveau Monde is a rum produced in Martinique by the La Mauny Rum Distillery. It is made from sugarcane juice, and is aged for at least 18 months in oak casks. The distillery was founded in 1749, and is located in the heart of Martinique. The ABV of the Le Nouveau Monde is 42%.

A very good agricole rum with spicy, vegetal and aoky flavors. The sugar cane is present but don't take the lead. Rounded in mouth with vanilla notes. I was disappointed with the Extra Ruby but it reinforces my tasting for other products from this brand.

Visited the La Mauny distillery while in Martinique. Easily the best distillery tour which ended with a full open bar. La Mauny Le Nouveau Monde was priced at EUR 110 at the distillery. High end packaging, bottle and label design. Mahogany color. Traditional super dry Rhum Agricole flavors with spices, vanilla and mild citrus over powered by plenty of oak. Mild burn at the end being such a dry Rhum. Rhum Agricole lovers can easily add 2 points to my score.

One of the best agricole rum i have a drank. Very rare edition, smells strange, excellent aftertaste, large bouquet, the finish is a little bit harsh.
