Première gorgée vanillée suivie par le caramel, café, une légère touche de cuir. Tanins fumés dûs au baril de chêne intrigue la langue créant une finition agréable.

Vanilj och honung i både doft och smak. Väldigt mild och lättdrucken. Lite romerska bågar.

First burn is a bit too strong and covers what comes after. Excellent balance with tones of dark chocolate.

Smerls like butterscotch and delivers that flavour with some excess vanilla. I live the terrior but perhaps this rum is a bit sweet but the delicate lingering cedar finishes well. Worth a try and will make me try more Salvadorian rums.

It is a very easy to drink rum, pure, without ice or soda. Lots of vanilla, caramel, little traces of orange peel.
I think it's a great solera rum for a good price.

While not quite in the flavor-bomb category of the nearly liqueur-like Bumbu (banana) or Don Papa (bubble gum), there is a clear vanilla extract influence here. It's nicer than those others, but it's still slightly artificial. This one seems to have been replaced recently by the "indigo" 8.
