Ok, but really standard non-interesting stuff.

Nose: Very little. A touch of ethanol.
Body: Oily. Fairly smooth, and not much of a kick (probably the best aspect).
Taste: Total snooze-fest. Tastes flat throughout. Molasses and a touch of wood.
Colour: Fuller Gold.
Presentation: No doubt the worst looking bottle on my shelf.

There is some astringency on the nose with this one, and it definitely has a strong flavor. Not overly fruity, but maybe some kind of dark, dried fruit or stone fruit. Being from Antigua, where they supposedly don't add any sugar or other flavor additives, it is probably right on for sweetness. My only real hang-up, and what keeps me from loving it, would be the afterburn. I don't think I'd recommend this as a first-time purchase, but it's fine for someone who wants something with a little more flavor than Havana Club 7.

Got a bottle of this as I wanted an introduction to English Harbour rum, before splashing out on the 1981 which i've had my eye on for a while.

For rum of this price range (I paid about £20), this is definitely the nicest i've tried and even better than some rums in the £30-40 price range. I've rated it 6 purely on taste, but only because it can't compare to more premium/expensive rums. But the quality/cost ratio is excellent.

A sweet vanilla/caramel flavour that is smooth in the mouth and on the way down. Recommended to have in any collection to keep you from delving into the premium bottles

A bottle of 1981 is next on the list

There is burnt caramel, the smell of toasted coconut, a little vanilla, oak, a smokey edge and a slight fruitiness to the aroma. For me the taste is true to the aroma. It also has a lovely smokey finish with apricots and peaches. A nice bit of fire in its belly too.....and who doesn't like a kick in the ribs.
