Plantation Gran Anejo Guatemala & Belize

Smell of this rum is very nice. A little Woody. Sweet. Raisins. Vanilla. Taste is not wow. But you get so much for the money you pay. An accesible smooth rum to begin your journey. On the sweeter side, but there are much sweeter rums. Taste of dried fruit and the wood taste comes through ass well. A rum I could buy again.

Nose: Lovely gentle. Leather and fruits, white grapes.

Palate: Fruity but also some hint of smoke, complex, full-bodied and balanced. Echoes a long time. Passion fruit and mango. Not sharp 👍

Part of a gift box set I received and was thrilled to explore this offering. Other than a couple of items, Plantation is difficult to find consistently with the remainder of their lineup so I have been resistant to investing time into many of their bottles. This was one of them. However I'm so glad to have come across it. A bit rough around the edges but not offensive in the least and very enjoyable as a decent sipper. Now I'm willing to travel further to find this bottle and others to expand on the Plantation experience.

Нос: сладко-терпкий, элегантный, без намёка на спирты. В аромате преобладают тропические фрукты (манго, банан) и яркие бурбонные мотивы.
Вкус: нежный, тропические фрукты, более всего персик и манго.
Финиш: средний, опять же фруктовый, немного терпкий.

Итог: этот ром прекрасен, несмотря на молодость, просто наслаждайтесь им.

You just get exactly what stands in descreption and other review - a fine rum with very nice nose, slightly sweat taste, distinct fruity and spice notes. It's a perfect rum to share with friends or family who are usually not into rum or heavier spirits.

Nice stumpy bottle with gras netting in a decent gift box..
Cork stopper.
No age statement. Initial maturation in Bourbon casks followed by Cognac casks in France.
No declaration on dosage or colouring, but being Plantation, it will have both.
Golden colour in the glass.
Nose of dried fruit and honey with some funky back notes, suggesting a bit of pot still in the mix.
On the palate very smooth, the fruit aromas are followed by some wood notes.
Quite sweet 4/5.
Gentle burn with a short finish.

In summary a very pleasing smooth rum, great as an entry sipping rum, but a bit sweet and short on character.

Spicey rum, very nice strong mouthfeel.lots of flavours, enjoyeble for sipping

Decent rum wich is quite soft & smooth. Good to mix or drink straight.
