In der Nase frisch und fruchtig. Zuckerrohr, frisch geschnitten und gepresst, Früchte, frisch und überreif, Gewürze, gemahlen und vom Winde verweht.
Am Gaumen vollmundig und fruchtig. Frisch gepresster Zuckerrohrsaft mit Vanille und Schokolade, Orchideen blühen im Hintergrund. Ein Aromen Erlebnis dem keine Beschreibung gerecht wird.
Im Abgang lang, lang anhaltend. Gewürze, Schokolade und eine Prise Salz.
Ein genialer weisser Agricole für Geniesser und Fortgeschrittene. 8+

In the nose fresh and fruity. Sugar cane, freshly cut and pressed, fruit, fresh and overripe, spices, ground and blown by the wind.
On the palate full-bodied and fruity. Freshly pressed sugarcane juice with vanilla and chocolate, orchids blooming in the background. An aroma experience that no description can do justice to.
Long, persistent finish. Spices, chocolate and a pinch of salt.
An ingenious white Agricole for connoisseurs and advanced. 8+

It`s not a rum for everyone, it`s an aquired taste but...worth trying! it is a very special rum with so much flavors that it´s a real flavor bomb! too much for many I believe but give it a chance and it might creep up on you. Not a beginner`s rhum agricole though. And it`s a rhum agricole in its own class actually because there is nothing like it. That goes for the other Clairins too.

Wow, what notes of TASTE! Kicks ass in white rum world. Some tastes that I have never found in other rums.

Málo decentní, silnější, hodně chutí. Hrubší, ale hodně ovocné.

Color: Clear, not shiny
Aroma: greasy, herbaceous, medicinal, grapes, smoke. Roasted raw sugar.
Taste: Heavy, smoky and spicy, after a while with heavy sweet notes. Masculine.
Finish: Still spicy, smoky and sweetish. Very long lasting.
This Rhum brings to mind a comparison with Italian Grappa. So if you like this kind of liquor this rum might be interesting. A great example how divers the world of rums is.

Aromes de truffe et d'artichaut avec un anisé léger. On a l'impression de mettre son nez au dessus d'un plan de travail de pizzaiolo. En bouche ce sont les mêmes notes avec ce coté sucré salé qui ressort et une fin de bouche très longue. Le gout du clairin est très particulier et peu conventionnel. Pour celui qui goûte son premier clairin je conseillerais de commencer par le sajous. Ces rhums sont fait à l'ancienne. Aucune levure ajouté dans la fermentation. Monovariétale avec des cannes qui ne sont pas croisées ou hybrides, mais bien de vieilles variétés qui souvent privilégient la richesse aromatique et la qualité plutôt que le rendement et la résistance avant récolte. Ce clairin est issu de la variété de canne hawaii. Le vesou est fermenté avec de l'anis étoilé, de la citronnelle et des fruits afin de gonfler encore les esters déjà très présents dans un clairin. Enfin, la distillation se fait dans un petit alambic à maximum 6 plateaux et très lentement afin d'obtenir un spiritueux de grande qualité.
