Distilled using small-batch copper pot stills uniquely designed for Appleton Estate, this rum is a blend of several rums aged 21 years in American oak barrels. Once blended, the rum is re-casked for two years to marry the flavors.
Appleton Estate 21-year rum is produced in Jamaica on one of the country’s oldest and most renowned sugar estates. Each bottle is individually numbered and comes with a signed aging certificate by master blender Joy Spence.

Did like a lot. This is one of my favourites -so far. Appleton 21 is not as sweet as you would expect based on the history and age. Some might say that it should actually be sweater. I find this product to be well balanced Rum which is worth of purchasing every time when possible.
I used to rate this to 9 but lately after tasting it I do have to drop it to 8
21 años en barricas, garantizado en un certificado que viene con la botella!!! No pierde su característico sabor Appleton, es muy suave en la boca, se disfruta en realidad!
Yesterday , I had the opportunity to taste the Appleton Estate 12y and today is the turn of the 21y. I'm now delighted to be able to taste the 30y !
The 21y has a nice amber color and offers long and persistent legs on your glass.Smooth when the burn is gone, spicy with a wood flavor well present and long and pleasant after taste.
A little bit to expensive for me as daily sipper but definitively added on my wishlist Thanks again to my dear colleague for this discovery....
Een zeer lekker rum complex. veel smaken iets voor kenners. Perfect met een medium sterke sigaar
Nutty, oaky, with toffee in my glass, the nose gives no hint to the complexity in the glass.
Very good sip rum. A never really like Appleton's rum as much of mainstream critics, I just think they lack personality or specificity. Nonetheless a solid complex rum that every rum lover will enjoy.
I originally tasted this paired against El Dorado 21 and quite enjoyed it. I then bought a bottle and was not that impressed. There was a large amount of white floating sediment (pretty sure it's ok perhaps sugar crystallisation as I still drank it and I'm still alive?). Taste didn't wow me compared to El Dorado 21 and Zacapa XO which I also bought bottles of. Also I contacted Appleton Estate about quality issues and no response. Their facebook feed link from their website no longer worked and last tweet was a year ago so not sure what's happening there
This is a very complex rum - one that tends to be underrated. There ist orange and oak in the nose, more oak and some cacao and nuts in the mouth, pepper for the finish. Not for you, if you only like sweet rums. A delicate blend, though.
Bien qu'il soit passablement plus sec que les autres rhums industriels, il n'en reste pas moins qu'il est dans une classe à part. 9/10
Nice brown sugar and toffee notes with a nice creamy nuttiness underneath.
"Tropical notes of sweet fruits a little orange zest and some nice notes of tropical fruit. It burns slightly on the finish which is very long and satisfying. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It is not one of my favorites but Appleton has its own unique flavor that I am sure you would enjoy rather straight or with Coke.
