Toured the factory while in DR and the tasting and presentation of this was great.
I don't like a spiced rum that has too much of a burn to it. This is light and smooth.

And that's about all you need to know. Fairly sweet and only 30% ABV, so it drinks really easy. Heaps of artificial coconutiness and just a twinge of cinnamon on the back end.

it try this one, yes it has a spiced taste, that is Special, but not more ... only for a Dessert ore Icecream Komibination.

Macorix Rebel is a spiced rum. This means no aging and plenty of artificial flavors. Bottle and label look very low end. Color is surprisingly dark. Immediate vanilla and allspice to the nose and palate. Vanilla is much stronger on the throat. Slight burn at the end.

I lite but not the best. It has a decent taste and after finish but not as much flavor as I would like.

As a pure sipping rum, this is absolutely delicious. Very hefty tones of coconut and cocoa. Not much of a burn on the throat. A tasty treat.
