Though I rate this somewhat low on the rum scale, I find it to be one of the better Bacardi flavored rums.
It's not as artificial tasting as most of their other flavored rums, and it's actually a decent flavored rum. I might have rated this a 3 if liked grapefruit more, but I'm just not fond of the hint of sourness grapefruit has.
I find it interesting that one viewer noted that this is one of the better Bacardi flavored runs and gave it a “2”. He was right by the way. Absolutely spot on. If I were comparing this to other Bacardi runs I might give it as high as a 4. But this is like being the best hockey player in all of Uruguay! You have to compare to all other rum, not jus Bacardi. On this scale this stuff is less than 1. It is synthetic, chemical tasting SWILL. (With full respect to Uruguayan hockey).
The only decent quality this rum has is the initial scent of grapefruit on the front of the nose. After that, the flavours are rough and abrasive, and not fleshed out whatsoever.
Bacardi line up has a few decent aged dark sipper rums, but on the absolute opposite end sits this vile liquid mixed with very artificial grapefruit flavor. Just bloody awful.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
