This is a blend of rums from Trinidad. The problem is, we're left with a rather bland mixture which neither excites the senses nor satisfies the need to taste anything distinctive. This is definitely light years away from a good Caroni. It's not terrible by any means, just boring and uninspired.
It's a sharp rum with an aftertaste which is quite sharp. It's nit a bad rum per se, but I wouldn't recommend it in any way.
Better alternatives available.

Quite a lot of vanilla and some sweet alcohol notes. .
"There is a nice fruity balance to it and its quite flowery. It’s very light. Not a great deal of alcohol burn just a nice pleasant oaky finish. ."

ist da irgendwo Caroni ? / is there Caroni somewhere? 7 out of 10
Rich honey yellow in the glass.
In the nose I perceive caroni far away. A little resin and wood, passing smoke, slightly candied fruit and a hint of cocoa.
On the palate at the beginning not very lovely, like a caroni, but very creamy and nice warm. Then it opens a little and releases delicate aromas of cocoa, wood and caramelized fruits.
The aftertaste is first an alcoholic spiciness, then deliciously long chocolatey and woody.
A very nice caroni that has to breathe for a very long time to develop. The absolutely cheapest caroni rum, I suppose. Ideal for all those who are looking for an introduction to the world of caroni and don't want to spend a fortune right away. Although this Caroni has only a fraction of the aromas of a "fat" Caroni heavy rum, he nevertheless announces the direction. Unfortunately, there are not many copies left on the market and is replaced by a blend of Angostura, recognizable by the label (half silver, half pink).
