Plantation Barbados Grande Reserve

This is the rum I use to make drinks. Nice sweet and caramell-vanilla flavor. In this price range, 25eur. I would not use the C-M. This is also 80prof the C-M is not.

Like buying a replica of the real thing....put the extra effort in and buy the 20 year old.

Yet another fine rum in the Plantation line from Barbados. Smooth and flavorful making this an extremely versatile rum that is great for mixing or enjoyable straight up.

Söt och rund. Sticker inte ut men god vardagssipp.

Sweet round nose, very social at first. Round mouth too but tastes a little bit too modified

Smell of molasses, caramel, barrel, alcohol. There are sweetness, fire, barrel, then bitterness manifests itself in the taste. Hard rolls down into the stomach. This Plantation is bright, sweet, heavy and not varied.

Light vanila and fruity taste, not bad. But thiner body, lower complexity and short aftertaste. Good budget price.

Billig Plantation, men stadig ganske fin til prisen. Ikke nogen større eftersmag, men en fin rund smag. Sukkerindholdet er højt, og spritten kan smages og mærkes. Dog et fornuftigt glas.

Dobrý, běžně dostupný, levný rum. Pokud jste dosud netušili, odkud se kdysi dávno vzala chuť tresti v lihovině, přejmenované na příkaz kulturtrégrů 4. říše na "tuzemák" (a která se v pravých rumech jinak prakticky nevyskytuje) zde máte možnost na to přijít.
Lehký, příjemný, voňavý a asi moc nedoslazovaný destilát, v němž sice nepochybně nenajdete nic whiskařsky sofistikovaného, ale zase také naprosto nic nepříjemného.
K pravému potěšení někdy může být třeba několika panáků, abyste se vpili, ale rozhodně nebudete litovat.
Litrové balení kupodivu není o nic horší než sedmička (jak bývá u podobných "budget" verzí často špatným zvykem), takže s cenou kolem 600 Kč (tedy 420 Kč za sedmičku) je v poměru cena/výkon asi tím nejlepším, co je v rumech standardně na našem trhu k dostání.

After drinking the Barbados XO ,I thought this was worth a try at one third the price. Not a great sipping rum but it makes a great rum and coke.
