Kill Devil (Hunter Laing) Guatemala 8-Year

Gut, gehaltvoll. Dunkel in der Farbe. Rosinen in der Nase.

Was looking forward to try an aged rum from Guatemala which was not sugarred.
For me its a sipper which I'm glad to have tried eventhough it's not that great. Opened up a lot with an icecube.

The very first Hunter Laing I have tried after well over 1,000 aged rums later and I can say that I'm not a big fan so far. The Guatemala 8 year old Kill Devil would have been cheap whisky in a blind test. I knew this was a rum bottle, but unfortunately all the strong whisky flavors have over powered the delicate rum flavors a long time ago. If you like whisky, then add 3 points, but if you like sweet aged dark rums, a 4 score is quite generous.
