Not too sweet with very little burn. Smooth with honey, molasses and raisins.

Rhum puissant. Très bon avec ou sans glace. Excellent pour ce dégraissé l'oesophage.

Sweet apple aroma. Crisp light apple forward flavor as expected. I purchased this after reading the tasting notes on El Dorado's website. I was a little disappointed as it lacks the complexity of other rums of this price point. I was looking forward to the roasted coconut they claimed, but I failed to pick it up on my palette. Nonetheless, a nice supper in contrast to the sweeter runs in my arsenal. I'll try it neat next time to see if more depth comes through.

Brilliant Rum, Just the right natural sweetness. Was fortunate to pick 2 of these bottles up for $45 Canadian on a discounted sale.
As Nomad stated below 0-sugar.

I love El Dorado but these single barrels are interesting as an insight into how the more drinkable blends are made but wouldn't drink them regularly.

Alcohol on the nose. Initially tastes of youngish wood.

Not sweet at all.

Fades into a smooth but peppery aftertaste.

Un rhum unique pas sa conception artisanale unique. Une pièce de collection...mais aussi un excellant produit qui se positionne dans le haute gamme.

Caramel flavour with a hint of apple. I find it to have a strong after burn. this rum somewhat cognacy ( if there is such a word ), i prefer sweeter rums this one doesn't fall in that category. I Much prefer the El Dor. 21 yr.

The first bottle I tried, I thought this was my favourite rum. The only thing stopping me from giving it a 9 or 10 was that it was a little too simplistic; not very complex but very, very smooth.
To my disappointment the second bottle I opened was a little rougher with a different taste profile.
I still think it is better then the ICBU and way better then the PM.

I wanted to love this single barrel, but I only like it very much. I found this one better than the PM, and have not had a chance to try the ICBU . . . yet.
