Aroma of spices and ripe melon. Mild ethanol vapors dissipate quickly with a few swirls in the glass. Flavor is disappointing – thin mouthfeel, tasting bandaids and some acetone. Spicy and slightly warm but nothing compelling. In my opinion this offering can't compare with another 16-year-old, 1998 rum from Guadeloupe, bottled by Compagnie Des Indes, which is bursting with flavors and texture. Berry Bros produce some amazing rums, but this isn't among their finest.
Netter Agricole Rhum aus Guadeloupe.
In der Nase und Gaumen Fruchtnoten mit Vanille und Karamelltönen.
Im Abgang sehr "rauchig". Nicht so mein Ding.
Habe von einem Berry's mehr erwartet.

Nice Agricole Rum from Guadeloupe.
In the nose and palate fruit notes with vanilla and caramel.
In the finish very "smoky". Not so my thing.
Have expected more from a Berry's Rhum.
N- Highly fragrant with ample of room for maple, cinnamon, ripe melon and chocolate to swim, plenty of cask influence here mellowed out the usual Agricole's pungency and grassy characters. The whiff of vegetal and eucalyptus lingers in the middle with sweet herbs. Fever Tree Cola, vanilla, orange caramel and salty nuances emerged. (90/22)
P- Dry, four sibblings spices, earthy, charred smokes rising with wood at spine. Lack some stamina on the build up but well rounded by the maritime notes for complexity. (87/21)
F- Medium-long, dry with sweet oak lingers, charred smokes, smooth, savoury lemon salts and cured ham, but hover over the light side throughout. (87/21)
