Dobrý rum spíš na míchání drinků, ale lze pít i samotný. Kvalita myslím odpovídá ceně.

Black licorice, vanilla and crème brûlée on the nose leads to a very rich and sweet caramel palate. Some long nutty oaky notes on the finish.

Decent sipper, great in a simple Cuba Libre. Obviously not as good a flavor profile like its 15-year brother but great for the price, can see myself serving this to my spirits-enthusiasts guests or just serving it as a "snack" when I don't have anything more premium on hand.

The El Dorado 8 years is good for making drinks. Drinking this one pure is not so much for me. There is a slight bitterness to it that makes this one better for drinks.

Pour le prix, il est excellent à boire seul ou avec une glace.

In der Nase Dörrfrüchte, süßer Geruch, Vanille.
Etwas alkoholisch, mittlere Süße, moderate Holzoten, ziemlich rund.
Feine Würze im nicht zu langen leicht wärmenden Abgang.
Im Glas bleiben Dörrpflaumen zurück.

This rum is fantastic and also great value for money. It has a bit of spice/bite to it which you feel on your tongue. Goes well with an ice cube or two.

After drinking a whole bottle if El Dorado 12 year in just a few days, which I LOVED, I was excited to try it's little brother the 8 year. Not as good as I had hoped for. The taste was a little bit harsher which I expected. It has a strange funky nose to it like the Plantation 3 Star which I do not care for. I sip my rums neat and this one was more of a chore to drink. I would use this in a cocktail but not neat. Overall, this rum is good in a pinch if you like the funky nose rums. For the same price I can get Plantation 5 year which, I think, is the best rum to price ratio. Rum on rumheads!!!

Nice aroma, earthy, maybe some banana? Smooth start and finish. Grassy taste with heavy cane notes.

The smell is so sweet and good. So much Carmel is great. Tried this one neat. More alcohol and strength then the 5 year with more burn and warmth and a more pleasant lasting after taste. Tastes amazing with pomegranate cherry juice. Perfect balance 1:1.
