I really like this rum, it is good, round, sweet and almost will be able to enjoy it, even the girls. A good 'starter' for the untrained.

Should be better than it is. I actually prefer this with coke instead of straight up.

Wat betreft de blend, deze is gemaakt van speciaal geselecteerde oude rums, de jongste rum heeft zelfs 12 jaar lang mogen rijpen in eikenhouten vaten! De kleur is fantastisch, de donkere eikenhouten kleur van de rum heeft iets kruidigs in zich en de aroma’s die er vanaf komen zijn werkelijk waar verbluffend; hints van citrusvruchten die worden afgewisseld met kaneel, bruine suiker en vanille, een waar genot voor de neus en mond.

In my opinion this rum is one of the best rum !

I have tasted some great rums, quite expensive also, but this El Dorado 12 years aged rum is my favorite for the money. OK, it is sweeter than most, but hey, this is what I prefer. Smell and you will discover a complex rum. For me, I love sipping this rum, and it is truly the bottle I would buy anytime.

I have tasted about 6 - 7 rhum so far and this one is my favourite. I will continue searching the ultimate rhum, but until then this is my number one rhum

Gorgeous amber color.
Nose is of burnt caramel, oak, and baking spices. Banana!?
Great balance between oak and sweetness. Not overly complex, yet possesses some complexity (if that makes any sense)
Finish is long and smooth. Very lil bite.

With an ice cube this rum is nice. It is a complex rum for a 12 year old. It is abalanced rum , balanced between spicy and sweey. After one glass you will want another, just to clarify that the rum was as good as what you just tasted..

Truthfully, this was the best rum I'd ever drank until I tried the 15 year ED. The slight spiciness makes it one of the nicest flavoured rums I have ever tried. I enjoy the finish and the fact that there is no nasty after taste makes this rum a pleasure to sip on.
