Guyana | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still Distilled
El Dorado 12-Year Rum is composed of a blend of aged rums, all at least 12 years old. The rums are distilled using a combination of stills including coffey stills and a double wooden pot still before being aged in bourbon oak casks.
Demerara Distillers of Guyana produces El Dorado 12-year rum and is the country's last remaining distillery, with origins tracing back to 1670. The name ""El Dorado"" references the legendary city of gold that is said to be in the country's Rupununi region.

easy to find, easy to drink, the 15 is a tad smoother.
Amazingly smooth and beautifull rum with one of the most beautifull scent of them

Absolutely taste-worthy and a very nice quality rum, and extremely good value for money.
Ottimo rum. Lieve nota barricata con nota di caffè. Alcool poco persistente nel retrogusto, sapore dolcuastro finale. Consigliato.

Bon rapport qualité prix. Un rhum de cette âge pour le prix, wow! Un goût de vanille et très épicé. Très boisé. Couleur très foncé j aime bien.

Very full body and sweet as hell, sort of reminds me of a decent scotch thanks to the barrel, aging procedure, and the general technique behind this beauty. This is something that stands independent in its glass neat and tidy, especially if you're kicking back and enjoying a fine Dominican cigar.

The initial smell resembles petrol and leaves me with mixed feelings.
Afterwards I detect coconuts and sugar and oak.
Taste is very sweet and you get the coconut again.
When compared to Diplomatico RE, this rum is perhaps on the same level of sweetness, but because the alcohol is way more present in here, the spirit seems more firey, but still smooth enough.
One of the most interesting flavour profiles on the rum market.

Ce rhum est un des meilleurs au monde souvent dans les 10 meilleurs.superbe equilibre.tres doux sucre sur la vanille et toffee.a gouter absolument pour tout amateur.je prefere de peu le 15 ans plus suptil et un peu sur des notes de wisky mais moins sucre.le 12 ans correspond au plus grand nombre et surtout si vous aimez les rhum sucrés.note 8.5.
