This is a decent rum if you go into it expecting (and being okay with) a heavy banana flavor. It’s almost more like a banana liqueur with rum flavoring. That aside, it is very smooth and goes down nicely. Unlike many others’ reviews on this site, I quite enjoy the aesthetic of the bottle. Looks really nice on a shelf! Only wish the flavor was slightly more up-to-par.
I am an unashamed pollutist, not a purist. I appreciate both ends of the rum spectrum, but have a definite sweet tooth. Leaning more towards a liqueur in many ways, but a fantastic bottle nonetheless.
I though this one must be something funky like plantation fancy with that pineapple... but this time, it’s really to much banana flavor for me. This Rum is really to sweet for me. Little bit more and milk just goes more aggressive and alcoholic drink then bumbu.
But the good thing is that this Rum are totally different from others, and I like it. I think this Rum should be good and interesting in cocktails. And my wife like it. That’s the most important thing...)
Sorry, 6+
Has a strong butterscotch taste that didn't work well for me. My wife really liked it though.
A lady at the local liquor store told me that was a nice smooth sipping rum. It is not... It's not smooth. It is very fruity and sweet but ends with a rather harsh bite. I agree with other comments that have described this more like a liqueur than a rum.
One of my favorite rum. Perfect neat or with ice.
Easy to drink but its a little overpriced and the flavour is more of a novelty. At first it sips like a decent dark rum, then, like a wave of students crashing onboard your ship, you are dragged into a novelty tiki lounge that squirts a dose of fake banana down your throat and throws refinement out the window. I am sure this one would sit quite well with many people, but this doesn't hold a candle to plantations pineapple rum in regards to rumxfruit flavours. Have a dabble, its okay, but don't go for a second round in a bar when for this price there are usually far better alternatives.
Update: So I bought a bottle on sale, and actually, I would say it holds its ground. Still a tad overpriced, avoid if you arent a fan of sweet/dessert rums. but it has its place and is a great alternative. Dont think it deserves a 7 but I would reiterate the 'worth a try' aspect. Avoid if you dont like sweet rums, try it if you love a good quality mixer. (dangerously so).
Really zweet. Not for the normaal rum drinker. It tasten morgen like a liquor. Nonetheless i really enkoyed it
Its tasty. But not My thing. Dont really like the fruity stuff. However its good enough
Very nice taste but I am confused if this is a rum.
The nose smells very sweet. Llashings of caramel and toffee.
"It barely even tastes like alcohol in any way shape or form. No mid palate and definitely no finish not even the slightest hint of alcohol burn. Maybe a little bit of woodiness as it goes down."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I tried this once. It's watery and sweet. The fact it's bottled at 35% to save on taxes yet costs as much as a premium blend is not forgivable. Stay away.
