Bumbu Original

Before completely hating on this rum, please educate yourselves on the History. The Bumbo, or Bumboo, was the inspiration here, and it was traditionally flavored AND sweetened as early as the 1600's. It also helped to get George Washington elected at one point... America... All these 'Rum Connoisseurs' here, and not a single one knows this!? Shame... Enjoy it for what it is not what you want it to be.

Not as spicy as I anticipated, very sweet. Orange and vanilla and coconut notes. Would be better in a Tiki drink rather than with cola.

Edit 9/2023: banana flavor, way better than originally rated. Still recommend in a tiki drink

Balení: jedna z nejhezčích lahví i když trochu pouťová.
V chuti i vůni je cítit nové koření, hřebíček a hlavně smetana (i když všichni píšou že to je banán). A ta mi tam moc nesedí. Víc než jedna sklenička za večer se vypít nedá. Jinak zajímavé zpestření.

Slušný rum u kterého vás ihned osloví jeho velmi sladká vůně a chuť.

Defently the first and last thing you taste is banana. A glass is good every now and then, I couldn't drink this all the time. Very sweet.

We thought this would be a very nice super good rum but it is more of a candy mixer rum for $45

Had Dan Thurston from Sovereign Brands come in and give our rum club a tasting. I enjoyed the rum. It doesn’t taste like a traditional rum, a lot of different flavor profiles. It is a very nice naturally spiced rum.

as Adreinke stated, I also prefer this rum after dinner due to its sweetness. My bottle at least had heavy notes of burnt caramel/butterscotch, and banana with a light spice note at the finish. Great rum!

A mild flavor, not much bite (sweet) thus a good mixer. Fairly tame, good for parties not a slow sipper.
