Bumbu Original

Now, I like bananas and I like rum, but together...well, maybe not. A bit much here is you ask me.

Aroma
Artificial Vanilla, cake batter, baked sugar, and fake molasses.

Taste
Artificial caramel, fake vanilla, birthday cake ice cream, and chemical sugar.

This rum is absolutely awful! It tastes like what tourists and untrained people think rum tastes like. It is overtly sweet, fake in flavor, and has a chemical aftertaste. The bottom line is, do not under any circumstances buy this rum. You will be thoroughly disappointed and wish you would have spent your money elsewhere.

Sampled this rum and my first impression was the sweet smells of banana and vanilla which felt very un-rum like to me. Tasting this rum confirmed this was an overly sweet rum, probably from extracts rather than from a natural distillation process. While this may appeal to those who prefer sweet rums, I did not like it at all.

This rum is a joke, and the joke is on everyone who paid good money for it. A mockery of a rum in a laughable bottle, my daughter's bubblegum has got a more solid and convincing banana taste. Crap, crap, crap in a glass. Faaar too sweet, fake chemical taste, zero complexity, just horrible. Considering its priced way above, say a 5 yo Barbados plantation just adds insult to injury. Never again!

True nice bottle with a gold cross. The cork is coated with wax. Color is good smell is toffee, alcohol and something else strange...
First sip and... It taste like child cough syrup and it is almost sweet.
Definitely a deceipt, once again marketing won.

Liked the Bumbu XO, but the original is worse than cough medicine. Syrupy sweet banana candy flavour that won't go away.

Taste more like a candy than a rum. This is too sweet and almost artificial ! There are so many rum from Barbados.better than that one
