Full disclosure - I live in Australia and hate Bundaberg rum. It tastes like formaldehyde and I studiously avoided drinking it because I thought that was what rum was. A Puerto Rican friend introduced me to Caribbean rum and I realised rum is wonderful and my favourite tipple but Bundaberg is so bad I am confounded they are even a viable company. Who is drinking this stuff? This particular rum was bought for me by a friend from Townsville who had actually lived in Bundaberg for a while and thought it would 'change my mind'. Nope. Its vile chemical burn matched its lack of complexity and thinness. Paint stripper would give it a run for its money. I did change my mind about my belief in my friend's taste though....

Tasted just like the 2014 edition to me , very whiskey like and pretty dry. Ok with just ice but not a favourite of mine.

Due to the award it achieved in 2105, I thought I would give Bundaberg one last chance at something I might buy again. Half price sale too. Yeah nah. Over powering ethanol and lack of character. Cannot recommend

For me - not a sipper But mixes ok with coke. If you’re a fan of bundy you’ll prob like it . If you’re not a fan of Bundy then you won’t waste the extra money I guess .

It did win some awards but I would not receive for the price

I gave this a go last night purely because it's a Bundy, dry with an after burn. Benifits being left in the glass for 15 minutes before adding ice, reminds me of living in Bagara a stone's throw from the Coral Sea.

Tastes like plasticy paint thinner to me. Should have just flushed my $90

It’s bundy so if you’ve tried the first pour then you will know where this comes from. This blenders edition is nicely sippable but still no frills which must be a trick! Dry, savoury and spicy balanced (only just) by the stewed prunes and dried fruit that is stealthily blended in by the ‘master blender’... polar opposite to most premium rums but it doesn’t bear (polar bear?) any resemblance to scotch or bourbon other than its brown and its booze.... drink up cunts.

probably a bit patriotism going on here! but this is a reasonable drop. Good enough to be a sipper, Great Aroma, fairly dry and complex. It does have a reasonable amount of alcohol burn. Definitely add a few blocks of ice. Definitely worth a crack
Please dont compare this with all the negative reviews on the original Bundy rum blend - This is a different proposition altogether.

One of the best blended by Bundaberg Master Distillers. It starts off smooth but still has that characteristic Bundy end of sip burn. In between there are some complex rum flavours that make it an interesting rum. Good enough to reserve as a sipping rum, but not a top 10 contender.
