So we have come to this, $10 Silver Rum from Classic Club on a Sunday afternoon. After 1,900 rums later, it becomes increasingly difficult to find new rums to try out, so an awful bottom of the barrel find steps into the rescue. Cheap bottle and label design. Pure alcohol and plenty of artificial vanilla extract to the nose and palate when neat sipped. Strong and dry burn at the end. Better mixed than neat sipped.
"More oaked and lighter in terms of flavour. There is less of the brine and saltiness and the sharp medicinal tones. Much more vanilla, clove and a longer zingier finish."
