This is not rum! It is coconut syrup/suntan oil. Strippers wear this stuff! We have all smelled this during a lap dance but we’re too distracted to wonder where this soapy coconut smell came from…or care. For God’s sake man! Don’t drink it!
Tasted for the first but not the last time at Laka Lono on 1/28/20.
As they say, this rum is "made with real coconut water" !!!
From my notes: I am so happy with how this rum tastes and smells and is <3
This is the rum that set me on the quest to find the gift set with tiki mug. And also my favorite rum for a daiquiri. YUM!!! is the word!
With plenty of cheap rum liquors out there and all their artificial flavoring. This has been so far the top of the crap heap. Not disgustingly sweet. Bottle says made with real coconut water and I actually believe it. Although how much real coconut water is anyone's guess. Of course at 21% ABV there is no burn or harshness to be had. Worth a try at least the 50ml trial size like I bought. As a mixer this may have some potential. I would never buy again but if I was offered a mixed drink with this in it I would not cringe like I would with almost all other cheap rum and liquors.
Very nice, natural coconut flavor, but needs a bit more burn to announce itself as a rum. Great in cocktails.
Arrgh! This liqueur be sold as a rum, but she has about as much kick as a cannonball at 1000 yards. That bein' said, she smells like any other decent, self-respectin' rum, but with just a hint of coconut to sweeten her up a bit. And that be a real coconut smell, not somethin' an alchemist would conjure up! On the tongue, she be smooth, but not too sweet, with a natural coconut flavor. Towards the end, the flavor gets a little grassy with a wee bit of bitter. No burn goin' down the hatch either! Might she be good for sippin'? If you be one of those sugar-loving' biscuit-eatin' landlubbers, this might not be sweet enough for your delicate constitution. You be welcome to mix it with other things tho! I recommend pineapple... and beaches... and wenches... and more rum... and GOLD... and rum...
Much better than Malibu, capt Morgan, Largo Bay, etc. But not as good as Sugar Island.
This a great tasting rum that is best in a Daiquiri or other cocktails that need a coconut flair. I rated this at a 8 because of its natural flavoring and the purity of the rum. If was to rate this as drinking it neat it would be a six, but because it’s so versatile, it’s a 8.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

One of the better coconut rums I have had and an amazing bargain.

Made with real coconut water and cane sugar, very natural tasting with a strong but not fake coconut flavor. IMO only Brinley's and Clement Mahina are bettter, and the latter is technically a liqueur.
At $20 I paid for a 1.75 ltr, one of the best bargains I have found.
