I simply cant remember any better sipper i have ever tasted.
Its well balanced and smooth but still unordinary and first sip creates strong wow effect, at least for me.
Aroma nuts and prunes.
Taste is bit smoky with hints of prunes, vanilla, bourbon.
Aftertaste is long and lightly sweet.

Very floral nose, pear, Caledonian sousbois. Aggressive in mouth, clear dry wood, bitterness of grapefruit. Beautiful bouquet final that lasts with caramelized bananas.

Used to Rums industriels from latina america this Special vintaged St James is quite different in many ways.

Very aromatic, purer and more elegant with aromas of coco, vanila (reminds me of Monoi) and orange blossom. And grapefruit. Very flowery.

Powerful mouth with an oaky tannic attack (dried wood)
Flavours of vanilla, citrus, backed up torrified flavours and a very long honey finish.
