First of all I have to admit that I am from Austria, so my words may be some partriotic.
But this Rum is something really special. It's not really the taste itself as it doesn't really taste like a rum.
As soon as you nip, you feel that there is something completely different. The secret is the barrel. It was former used as for Pear-Wine production. So it tastes completely different.
The finish is quite harsh and so it is really only something for tasting, as you can't drink another glass.
All in all I can recommend it to all those of you, who think they have tried already all different types of rum.

Ich habe diesem Rum gekauft weil ich gerne Destillate aus “exotischen“ Gegenden (in diesem Fall Österreich) degustiere und dabdaauchei auch schon sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht habe.
Der O-Rum hält leider nicht was er v.a. auch vom Preis her verspricht. Aromen sind zwar vorhanden, können jedoch nicht im Gesamtkontext überzeugen. Im Hintergrund hat er zudem einen unangenehmen Fasston und ist der Abgang auch noch unangenehm scharf.
Vielleicht zum Mixen brauchbar, dafür jedoch einfach viel zu hochpreisig.
Bleibt noch zu sagen dass es nicht am Herkunftsland liegt, ich konnte auch schon sehr wohlschmeckende schlürfen ;)
