I originally was very impressed withSignature, then one year it seemed to be a more harsh drink, so I would mix with a Flor de Cana 5 yr old to smooth it out, since the price was still right. The newly labeled Signature seems to have Been reblended, and now carries a smoothness Iβve missed.
Solid rum to mix or sip. Distinct flavor. Always in my rotation.
Confession: I drink rum in shots. Usually 7 or more to be exact, over a 2-3 hour period. The rum doesn't have to be overly complex, obviously. But it needs to be smooth enough not to torch my gullet, and have a delicious aftertaste. This rum fits the bill at an attractive price point. I has the Jamaican funk, but with the edges rounded off. It's a great $20 rum, like Mount Gay or Plantation Barbados. Tastes like it's aged at least 2 years or more, maybe even 5. It's a well-made bottle of booze.
Burnt sugar and citrus on the nose, very smooth stuff, I love this for mixing and thoroughly enjoy sipping it. Hard to beat for the price.
This has long been one of my favourites. Drinkable on its own and mixes well too. Underrated as a rum and not too expensive either. Recommended
this brand of rum is a good rum to give friends for their 1st rum tasting
This is fantastic stuff. Mixes really well and can be a supper too. Smooth but with character. Not very flammable. Not too sweet. Not too funky. Not too heavy. Great flavor. The average rating here is low in my opinion.
Great taste smooth but with Carmel taste and a slightly fruity finish but not sweet their are a lot better Rums out their but for the price you can't beat it 1.5 oz and 1 Rock
Jamaican funk and good as a sipper. Quite nice. Try it.
Well balanced and it is a quite subtle (by Jamaican standards) rum.
"The initial sip is quite smooth but the palate soon heats up and feels the black pepper again, this time with some chilli and ginger spice."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Better value than other rums for the price. Mount Gay Eclipse used to be my go-to rum for mixing with coke, but this blows it out the water and costs about the same.
Makes a very good mixer, with more complexity to the taste profile than most rums in the Β£20 ball-park. "Funk" is definitely present, as you would expect from a Jamaican rum, but it's not too overpowering and pairs nicely with coke. Less complex and less smooth than I would ideally want from a good sipping rum, but it is quite drinkable neat (it's the cheapest rum I would say this about).
I've rated it 8 due to the great value for money.
