Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 rum is made from a combination of rums from Barbados and Guyana. It is unique becuase of its triple ageding process where for 5 initial years the rum is aged in the Carribean in oak casks. Next PX 5 + 5 is aged in Spain for 5 years in sherry casks, and lastly for 2 more years in even older sherry casks.
The Dos Maderas family of rums are produced by Bodegas Williams & Humbert, which is a well known Spanish winery founded by Sir Alexander Williams in the late 1800s. The region of Spain where the winery is located has a climate perfectly suited for wine and is known as Europe's wine cellar.

Aroma of rum flavoured gingerbread and strong tones of smoked oak cask in taste with sweet finish. It is always nice to have one in the bar..

This dark and dense rum in the nose is intense, you can smell for hours, fruits, cynamon, orange, sweetness, smooth and tasty is one of a kind rum IMO.

Exquisito en nariz frutas oscuras, Siruela ,chocolate ahumado. Un sabor muy equilibrado es uno de estos rones que debes siempre tener a la mano para sorprender algún invitado con su sabor y olor, A un precio fenomenal

Ce rhum est une reelle reussite.sucre mais pas trop pour moi.il delivre un nez de vanille ,toffe et agrume leger.En Bouche on est sur des notes de vanille d agrume leger et bien maitrise et un petit gout boise parfait.un equilibre general parfait du debut a la fin.la longueur est correcte.a avoir dans sa cave.merci a mon copain seb , qui ns l a ouvert au jour de ll an 2016.un reel plaisir.

Full of flavour. Odd thing, if you let it bread a little it becomes sweeter. Nice sipper for the price.
Great nose & so smooth on the tongue and all the way down. Reminds me more of a scotch sipping, but it is Rum.

Ein wahrhaft interessanter Rum mit einzigartigem Aroma. Ein eher süsser Rum, mit angenehmer Dichte der nach Sherry, Portwein und Trockenobst schmeckt. Eine nette Abwechslung für Zwischendurch!

Very sweet, and heavy on vanilla/Butterscotch/baking spice. Not a very traditional rum.
