Doorly's XO 6-Year

For a barbados rum I thought it would have more flavor. It sounds great, but really just doesn't come through. :/ More like a gold.

tones of burned chocolate, dry sugar cane, toffée, vanilla and fruit

This is a special rum to me as this was the first "premium" rum I ever tasted. It has been a staple for me ever since in my journey through the world of rum.

Nose: Clear notes from the time spend in sherry-casks with a hint of smoke
Taste: Vanilla, nuts and a long, sweet and complex aftertaste with clear hints of sherry
Overall: This is a fantastic rum. It is a bit too expensive, which also hurts the rating, but the taste is just wonderful and something everyone should be able to enjoy.

Lovely color. Rather thin in the mouth. Quite dry. Starts peppery, developing a faint burn. Reminiscent of some California brandies, only not as sweet. A decent potion but my palate prefers others at this price.

Nose - vanilla
Taste - slight oak, vanilla, orange

Since I can pick this up for less than Mount Gay Eclipse, I'd choose this any day of the week.
This will be my go to Bajan rum.

This Rum is actually a classic one. No sugar add, no spiced, no flawored. You got no alcohol smell but when you taste it you can realize how “heavy” it is. It’s not from sweetest. It comes more like from true pirate Rum cask, what marked by X.O.

I give about 6.5 - 7
And I will buy it again

Tento rum není doslazovaný. Hodně jde znát vlil sudu. Dřívko tam je dosytosti, ale nikoli přehnaně. Milá změna po sladkých rumech. Docela dobře vybalancovaný. Můžu doporučit.

There is nothing special about this rum at all. Small flavor profile, overpriced. Disappointing

Otvorenie flase a prve vdychnutie vone papagaj rumu pripravilo velke ocakavanie.... ale... silnejsia chut alkoholu a jeho dozvuk prerazaju sladkastu chut po sherry. Skoda ... riesenie, nechat odstat v pohary aspon 4-5 minut a potom pit ;)

The sherry aging adds a fruitiness to this rum it's not a sipping rum but makes good cocktails
