Cheap rum that works for drinks not as a sipper. Spending a little more and get the reserva exclusiva is well worth the money.

I find this one a little too spicy with an after bite. Im putting this one in my rum and coke pile.

Pour une dégustation, il n'est clairement pas au niveau ! Néanmoins, pour des cocktails, il est une excellente base.

I was fairly disappointed when i tried this.. The extra anejo is one of my "daily" rums.. And it has a clear spot in my cabinet.. Now to this guy..
A little bit too light sniff.. All the right tones are there.. But to little of them..
The taste i free from ethanol at the beginning.. But the longer in the mouth and the clear taste of ethanol evolves.. The finish isn´t pleasant either.. A clear bite from alcohol and a quick wiff of tatest.. I almost wondered WTF happened ?.. Tried it again and the same disapointment strikes again.. If this is the only diplomat you have tried.. Try another one.. They don´t taste like this at all..

Ce diplomatico n'est vraiment pas intéressant. C'est une bouteille qu'on peut ramener en soirée histoire d'éviter le whisky coca et le vodka orange.

If you think of Diplomatico, just take the 12yo exclusiva, there is not that big price difference, but the taste difference is more than huge.

A little bit too dry and a strong alcohol burn. Main taste is oak and vanilla. Perhaps some caramel and liquorice. I prefer a more fruity rum. Will have to try the Exclusiva?

Similar to its older brother but it's topped with quite an edgy alcoholic taste. spend the extra money and get the Reserva Exclusiva

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Definitely worse than the Reserva Exclusiva.. boring and flat taste.. not worth the price, even though it is not an expensive bottle
