Not as good as the Exclusiva, it's still a very decent taste. Here also the hints of caramel and vanilla are a fine get together. Where the Exclusiva is smooth, this one has some sharp edges. This bottle was a nice tasting, but I'd still spend a bit more to get the Exclusiva.

In bunul stil Diplomatico, arome subtile, un rom fin, desăvârșit. O alegere potrivită oricand! Doar "on the rocks"

It took me a while to add this to my collection; I guess I bought into some of the negative reviews.
Pound for pound, it holds its own versus the exclusive reserva.
I would recommend this as a good transition rum for someone looking to shed the ice cubes and go neat.

I've got this one for somewhere around 20 euro, which really is a steel for this rum!

Pretty nice but not as good as the Diplomatico Reserva exclusiva. Good in cuba libre.

It starts with a very sharp alcohol scent, a slight caramel tone to it, but not much more. The sip is quite pleasant, despite the alcohol scent, very classic rum taste. Filled with sugar cane, arrack, and with a leveled amount of sweetness it is a nice drink, but the taste doesn't last very long, and the alcohol sting is prominent as soon as the taste leaves. It's probably a good rum for it's price range, but far from the elite. 6 might be a bit low, but the description of 6 is quite accurate to the experience of Diplomatico Reserva - Tasty, but not great.

Somewhat more boozy and brash than the mellow Exclusiva, but still worth sipping straight up or in a better cocktail. Not top shelf, but a definitely solid back-up.
