Firstly, I can understand why this rum is rated highly. It is smooth, nice colour and to the nose: vanilla, nutty and fruity. Similarly with taste there is a smoothness without an after taste of bitterness. However, for me it is too sweet and despite the smoothness I found its strong character not to my taste. So do I rate it according to my tastes in rum? Yes so I give it 7

Great rum with all a great rum ned. Wonderfull smell. Smoke, caramel, vanilla, and a taste of age and Oak.

Surement le rhum qui m'a poussé à gouter de nouvelle bouteille, ce gout de sucré et vanillé m'a vraiment laissé sur le coup la première fois que j'y ai gouté, depuis toujours un de mes rhums préféré.

This is the best rum, I ever tasted. But still, looking for others to taste. Never beaten so far.

Comme beaucoup on me l'a offert et j'ai commencé par la, merci de m'avoir introduit au rhum mais après avoir goûter beaucoup d'autres, trop d'ajouts pour tronquer à mes yeux le grand public et trompé en quelque sorte le consommateur
