A little bit of everything. It' dark and complex. A little sweet, a little spice, a little burnt oak, a little caramel. Hard to go wrong with this one.
First review here. This one has been on my wish-list for a while after i found this site. The relatively short aging period made me a little skeptical at first, but it may actually be one of the reasons i love it so much. The taste to me manages to be mellow and spicy without having that heavy oak aroma and vanilla flavor that usually comes with longer aging. This is not my absolute favorite rum every day, but when i crave a sipper with less oaky notes and that mellow flavor there is nothing i have found yet that matches it.
Vyborny, kvalitni rum. Sladka ovocna chut, jemny a lahodný.

This is one of the best rum I've had to date, and I've tried a lot of good ones. It has an amazing smell of rich butter toffee, caramel, and butterscotch, with a light sherry taste that isn't strong enough to detract from the rum. Taste is an amazing follow up to the nose. Strong at 43%abv, but so good the added strength is perfect. Would pair well with a fine cigar. Simply an amazing rum.

Nice rum, only buy if you are into sweet rums. I like this one better straight up than it's little brother. If you like to mix it with coke you can just buy the cheaper "reserva" at almost half the price. Paid €34,-

This was my first "serious" rum and I still prefere this one more than Zacapa 23y. Nice smell, taste with lot of subtones and for myself the perfect balance between strong and sweetenes. For approx. 32 usd in my country is this rum nr.1 in price/quality pov.

The backbone of the Diplomatico range, this rum is both good for everyday sipping and special occasions. Less sweet than Zacapa, but with better balance and refinement. While a very good rum it lacks some complexity, so I tend to loose interest after a few glasses to go get something else for variation.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."
