This is a solid rum. Great after taste just not good enough for me to be wowed. I would drink it again just about anywhere but wouldn't go hunting it.

Because of this rum I started to love the variety. It is sweet, medium sweet. rich in flavor but simple, not complex. it has an simple but very strong character, that imposes respect and admiration. For a beginner it is a deal breaker, and for an enthusiast could be an nice experience.
It was quite good, very smooth, a little spicy. Didn't really leave me with a lasting impression though. Can't go wrong with this bottle. Update: Had another pour at a friends and it had way more layers than I remembered. It deserves another star (solid 7)

I really like a sweeter booze flavor profile (sherry cask = yummy) but something about this bottle tastes artificial to me. It's good but by no means great among much better peers under $40. I much prefer anything from El Dorado, Plantation, Appleton to Diplomatico.

Spicy and powerful flavors that linger almost as long as this stuff sticks to the glass. (That's a long time) it coats the glass like syrup. Not the best for me personally but totally different and worth adding to any collectors bar
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

My king this far. First time trying a neat rum. Loved it, lots of subtle flavours coming through at different times.
On to my second bottle now after sampling a few different rums. I’m still enjoying it but knocked it back to a seven
