This is a nice Diplomatico rum . Low price and very good quality.

Bon rhum d'entrée de gamme, note légèrement amer et boisée.

Le Diplomatico le plus jeune : un nez très agréable, une entré en bouche intéressante quoique une peu sèche et une explosion au palais : vanille, caramel, agrume. On retrouve la base du fameux (mais beaucoup plus cher!) Reserva.
Seule déception : une longueur en bouche trop frêle voire quasi absente.
Pour moi qui aime les rhums de tradition française, je trouve qu'il manque un peu de caractère.
Maintenant à ce prix (moins de 20e) difficile de critiquer le rapport qualité prix.
Idéal pour "débuter" et exercer son palet à moindre frais.

This is a nice rum in the Diplomatico line, it has good color, vanilla and carmel notes, smoothness and a moderate finish. This rum can be had on the rocks or best served up for a very good Cuba Libre. For the money ~ $20ish, it serves both purposes in a pinch.

This is a younger rum with much flavor. This is a mediocre sipper or shot rum. There is a lot of decent flavor and a classic molasses rum taste. The price point raises my score on this as it is quite cheap.

Enfin c'est comme ça qu'un ami ma decrit le diplomatico, la semaine suivant il m'en offrait une bouteille. Moi qui commence dans le rhum et monte en gamme chaque semaines, je peux certifiés que ce rhum loin d'être le meilleur et tout simplement parfait pour les vieux punch et reste très agréable à siroter pur ou avec un glaçons.

Not to hot straight, carmel flavors, these flavors disappear in coke. Coke seems to overpower this rum.

id recommend it as start for any rum beginner, skip havana, skip bacardi or morgan mass produced brands. Better for drinks with coke rather than straight, because its not that smoothy and not colorful to the taste- smoky wood is the main one carrying the taste, that in the end makes this one not suitable for everyone. But for the price... :)
